The dust has finally settled here at The Lace Boutique after another successful trip to The Harrogate Bridal Show. The Harrogate Bridal Show is the bridal industry’s longest standing and largest trade event, making it the place to be this September as over 350 designers unveiled their 2017 collections and we were at the top of the queue to bring the latest bridal trends and designs back to our fashion forward brides to be.

With the finishing touches finally made to our order forms for 2017 we are delighted to announce some of the new designers joining us for the Spring/Summer 2017 bridal season in this four part blog series.

Modeca Bridal is a firm favourite amongst our brides to be, celebrating 70 years making bridal dreams come true whatever your taste/budget. With that in mind we are delighted to announce our boutique will be home to Modeca Bridals newly launched ‘Le Papillon’ by Modeca collection.

With dresses made from the finest stretch lace and designed with vintage undertones and contemporary sophistication for the modern bride, with a colour pallet of ivory, mocha, beige and cream this collection is perfect for the contemporary bride looking for a unique wedding dress with exquisite sultry styling.

Modeca Bridal’s dutch design team based in the Netherlands are experts in combining the four main bridal gown ingredients: silhouettes, fabrics, details and colours.

2017 will be a cut above the norm as anything goes from brilliantly flattering fit and flares to slenderising A-lines, full skirted ballgowns and elegant sheaths with touches of boho combined with edges of lace and asymmetric cascades. The 2017 silhouettes are tipped for serious success.

While silhouettes might set the tone, fabrics set the pace with crepe, mikado, silk, ultra soft organza and featherweight tulle to name but a few, a luxurious finish is certain in every shade. While white and Ivory are classic and certain, rose-gold, champagne and alabaster are making headlines with these tones acting as a platform with an overlay of lace or embroidered tulle your dress becomes a real feature never to be outdone.
